Audio Production Training Course prepares you for the performance, creative, technical, and business aspects of the radio and audio broadcasting. You will learn radio station operations, the use of broadcast and production equipment, and the fundamentals of writing, producing, and performing for radio and podcasting. You will also gain skills in station management, broadcast and podcast sales, marketing, news, programming, and market research. Your studies will combine practical and theoretical aspects of radio broadcasting including effective speaking skills that can be applied to announcing, news and sports delivery. You will also be trained in writing and producing for radio using industry-standard software and studio equipment to fully prepare you for a variety of careers in radio.
Audio Production Training covers the necessary skills for individuals to work in the broadcasting industry. This program may teach students how to research stories, interview guests, edit audio segments and deliver a broadcast that engages its listeners.
Training Course Outline
Day 1 – INTRODUCTION TO ACOUSTICS AND ELECTRONICS
Become familiar with basic sound terminology and electronic systems. Experience the effects of environment on acoustics.
Day 2 – STUDIO RECORDING 1: PROTOOLS ENVIRONMENT
Get hands-on training with an advanced digital audio workstation, which has been the leading industry software for several years.
Day 3 – STUDIO RECORDING 2: TRACKING
Develop your multiple-track recording skills by working with different microphones and audio equipment in various recording scenarios.
Day 4 – STUDIO RECORDING 3: MIXING & MASTERING
Use your technical and creative skills to meld multi-track audio sessions into a single stereo track. Improve listener experiences by sweetening sonic qualities using high-end gear.
Day 5 – INTRODUCTION TO AUDIO COMPONENTS AND EQUIPMENT
Learn to identify, select and utilize industry-standard gear and equipment for recording audio sessions.
Day – BUSINESS 1: FUNDAMENTALS OF MUSIC BUSINESS
Gain valuable insight into marketing and selling music so you can set yourself up for success.
